The Women's Center encourages all members of the Lynn community regardless of gender to get involved with the office and participate in its events.  Gender inequality negatively affects everyone, and gender-based violence can happen to anyone.  The Women's Center focuses on women's issues, empowerment and leadership, because gender inequality and violence disproportionately affect women.  The Women's Center focuses on intersectional women's issues in order to take a big-picture approach to addressing and eliminating all forms of gender-based violence and striving for gender equality on campus and in society.

• Provide opportunities for student leadership within The Women's Center.
• Partner with other campus departments and individuals to better meet female students' needs.
• Collaborate with offices such as Title IX, Student Involvement and the Health Center on additional educational programs throughout the year, including the Escalation Workshop, OwnHERship Market and many others.       

• Provide confidential support, assistance and accommodations after an incident of interpersonal violence has occurred.
• Refer students as necessary to appropriate on- and off-campus resources.
• Assist students in accessing local agency resources and services, such as Planned Parenthood and Palm Beach County Victim Services. 

• Create a campus culture that values all women and their diverse identities and experiences.
• Work to prevent gender-based violence before it occurs by raising awareness and encouraging responsible bystander intervention. 

Wellness Educators are student leaders who are chosen at the end of each academic year through an interview process.  They work with the Women's Center, Health Center and Campus Recreation to educate other students on important topics such as consent, bystander intervention, physical fitness, healthy eating, etc. To learn more about becoming a Wellness Educator, contact the Women's Center.

Women's Center Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is comprised of students, staff and faculty who are selected each year through an application process.  The Advisory Board is committed to promoting the services and events of the Women's Center, and it meets regularly throughout the year to discuss new programs, marketing and outreach ideas. To learn more about joining the Advisory Board, contact the Women's Center.
