June 1 is the beginning of the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season. As we prepare for this season, we ask that all students and employees review and/or update their emergency contact information on myLynn.
TO UPDATE YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACT INFO:
• Log into my.lynn.edu
• Click on “Emergency contact information” under “Quick Links” (left-hand side)
• Click on “Go to full view”
• Complete the form and click “Save”
Only current Lynn students and employees can log on to myLynn to access and complete the form. Users may complete the "Emergency Contact" fields within the form to include contact details for parents, spouses or friends who should also be notified of storms or other emergencies affecting the Lynn campus. The form now allows for opting emergency contacts out from mass notifications. The information provided via this form will only be used for emergency notification purposes or tests of the systems.
If you have trouble updating your information, please submit an LU Service Desk request. Someone will respond to you as soon as possible.
IN THE EVENT OF A STORM:
Lynn students and employees will be notified of any storm-related closures, cancellations and reopening plans via any combination of the following communications methods:
• voice, email and/or text message
• updates posted at lynn.edu/alert
• a pre-recorded message on the university switchboard at +1 561-237-7000
PLEASE NOTE:
Lynn University is a “Storm ready” facility. Lynn is not located within an evacuation zone. Our storm preparations and facilities can accommodate only the on-campus student community and Lynn “first responder” staff in the event of a tropical storm or hurricane. The university is not an evacuation shelter for all Lynn employees, non-resident students or their families and neighbors. Nonresident students and Lynn employees who are not “first responder” staff should make their own evacuation and/or storm preparations.
